I cannot get to www sites

I am running W98 and IE6. The other day I tried to navigate to a website and my PC stated clicking at 1 second intervals. I had to turn the PC off as it would not respond to anything including cntl-altn I go into IE6, I cannot go to any website starting with www. I can go to my bank and my retirement account but not ESPN, Yahoo, MSNBC, Major League Baseball. I get a dns error, cannot find server. I have NAV 2000 and Ad-aware but they don't report anything evil.

NAV 2000!? Thats old!! Is it even up to date? Try http://housecall.trendmicro.com and spybot at http://safer-networking.org Make sure both spybot and ad-aware are updated.

Oh and get rid of that NAV 2000, its waaay too old, you can get AVG for free at http://grisoft.com
