So, what do you think?
I have been working on a website for my dad's band. It isn't done and it isn't very exciting but I would like some opinions. Does anyone have any ideas on how to spif it up a bit? Make it a little more professional looking? I have been using FrontPage 2002 to make it. Tell me what you think. Any suggestions are welcome. HERE it is.

I suppose this is one of your first websites, so you've done a good job! However, as you've find out, it ain't that easy to get instant eye-candy on the screen. What I miss on your site is style. The colors of your banner on top are ok, so why don't you use those colors in your links? For instance, make a nice menu row in green and white and use that color scheme all over the site. Those red, blue and yellow marks on your links are screaming: "We're made with frontpage". However, this is just my opinion , no hard feelings
![]() You could check my last sites, one I made for a belgium company: http://www.labelsolution.be or my own music site: http://www.descent.tk (I compose music during my free hours) Those sites ain't flashy at all, they use only a very few colors, but I think they just are clear and nice to look at. Nothing more, nothing less. Good luck! |

Hey thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I want. Critisism and suggestions on making it more stylish while not taking it over the top. As I said, this is a preliminary website and I will be making changes. I will try and figure out how to make that link bar more color coordinated with the rest of the site.

i'd just like to say when i opened it up, the picture ran over the text on the right, as i didn't have it full-screened, and i'd imagine it would be the same for people running 800x600 at full screen. perhaps you could try using a table rather than just aligning the picture and text if u can figure that out
![]() also is it in times new roman or some other font? if its something else then i dont have it, and many other people might not so it shows as TNR. if u set it as TNR then perhaps try something a bit less dull? verdana i think looks clean yet less 'win95' and i think it is one of 6 or so fonts that are installed with IE or windows or something, (so nearly all PCs will have it). alternatively when u set the font, u can input multiple fonts separated by ','s and then it will show the first font if the PC has it, and if not it will go down the line until it finds one. |

Thanks. A friend had the same trouble with the picture overlapping. I think he is running at 800x600 too. I'm not quite sure how to use a table for the picture but I will try and figure it out. As of now the font is Times New Roman. I will change it to a less boring font soon.
