Unhappy

Hello and good day!!! I have this handsharing Icon On my address bar? It is located before http://. Normally its the Internet Explorer icon but on my computer it is showing the Handsharing Icon. I also can't type any address to it that would work. The only way for me to go to a particular site is to type it on the Homepage option then click Home...How do I solve this Problem.....

Your help will be greatly appreciated.....!!

Can't say that I seen this before. Open up Windows Explorer and look through the folders underneath c:\windows to see if you see the "hand." If so, right click and UNShare it.

I can't say I've heard of this before either, I have heard of the icon changing but that should only be relevant to the site you're going to. My suggestion is to run a virus scan if you haven't already.

Yes I saw the part about IE. But, I'd still look in Windows Explorer under the windows folder for any shared folders.

Also, do you have Multi Profiles setup on this pc?

I just got an idea - install TweakUI. Repair icons and associations.
