Your Opinion on Looks
Putting it in this forum, since it seems to be viewed the most.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A ADVERTISEMENT Please offer your opinion on how this page looks, that would be awesome! I am happy how it turned out......but I still think something is missing, I don't know what though. Criticism welcome! http://www.sigmaseven.net/gamingfinal.php |

Constructive critisicm: The explaination was above the Intel machine, leading me to that side of the page (if that was your intention).

Never thought of that!
Any more ideas? Should I fix that problem? Or is it okay?

If you don't mind, I'll be a bit critical here. First of all, the contrast on color - orange and grey are still a bit bold. I'd suggest replacing the orange with a scheme more like Dark Blue, Grey, or something along those lines. Contrast of colors is what you want to look out for.
Your logo - sigmaseven logo on the upper left...isn't showing up. I know that's the company name - you might consider putting that general area under a table frame of dark black or something - something that will make it show up. The "Here you can choose..." message - the one in the grey box. I'd suggest blending that with the background somehow. It's intruding on the highlight of the website - the builds themselves. Looks good though - I really like the case selection - the Thermaltake Tsunami . I've been considering that highly for my next friend's build .Hope that helps, kram

Nice web design. Like the color scheme and geometric shapes. IMO, I would like a thinner side menu or menu on top. The menu is there to navigate but it seems to take too much action out of the of the main page. I hate having to scroll sideways.

Looks good. Nice job...the color scheme thing might have been a good majority personal preference, but if orange and dark colors suit you, by all means, go for it

for all those who looked at the previous one..... do you think getting rid of that orange picture made it look better?

Ok... that one page:
I would expect maybe a modified SigmaSeven Logo in the upper left such as on your first main pages, but the "Desktop Gaming" addition somewhere... I don't like that statement above the "logo"... not sure why but I wam more used to, say, that logo in the upper left and then the statement either under it or to the right of it... seems a little detached all the way up there. I also get a grey box in the middle of the screen... Don't know what that's about but if it's planned to stay grey I would ditch it. Also don't like the thin orange/grey border on the left... Oh ya, and the Untitled name at the top to be real picky. All this in hopes of helping, dont take it to harsh I can be real picky somtimes... and I lost $50 so I guess I am not in to much of a mood to be making remarks on someones website ![]() EDIT: While the color scheme could be worked with a little bit I would nto say photoshop and/or flash are at all required for making a nice site. Sometimes simplistic is a lot nicer... not to mention easier on some peoples modems. |

As my web design skills bite I don't have a great deal to offer, other than, if you are going to use the AMD and Intel logo's, you should probably consider using them in their original state, ie. colour/scale etc... I'm not sure if you need permission to use them but a link back to their respective sites probably wouldn't hurt.

Have someone do the proofreading.
I'm sure you didn't intend a sentence to end as follows : ...so that you will be able to find a pc that will both surpass your dreams. Otherwise I like it.

Viewed on a monitor set to 1024 X 768, the page only takes up about 2/3 of the window. Change the sizing to percentage of screen rather than number of pixels and it'll display correctly no matter what the viewer's monitor resolution settings are.
