greedo How do I upload pictures to my web site?

I would like to allow visitors to upload their pictures to my web site. What is the easiest way to do this?

well, it depends on who the website is hosted with, whether or not you have ftp access, and if you already have a gallery or if you are going to need one of those, too

Keep in mind that if you open up your website to any and all visitors to upload pictures, it also means that any and all visitors can upload anything else...and somebody will. Once everybody can put files on your website, it's unlikely it will remain "un-hacked" for very long.

I agree with both posts. Your best bet is to give a contact email address and have them send the pictures that way. This would allow your AV to block most malware etc.

Welcome to PC Mech forums

The best method might be to do a "guestbook" type website - like the one you see here as a forum. Them allow the usage of images - or HTML tags and have them have a picture from somewhere else - not your website.

You could use a gallery script, but if you get lots of uploads it'll eat up lots of space and bandwidth. I used to use a gallery script but now I use phpBB and just have my users link their images in from other sources.
