Question

Hi,

Is it possible to make a flash movie play over a static background image?

When I put the flash movie in the frame (which has a background .JPG), the movie has a black background, which covers the.JPG.

Is there any way around this?

I am using Flash 5.

Thanks

Use the intended background as the background of your movie. As far as I know Flash will not let the background of your HTML show up.
To do the aforementioned just create a new layer right at the bottom.
As an alternative you could export the movie as a GIF89a, that might work...but then again the fun of using Flash is gone!

You can try adding
< param name="wmode" value="Transparent" >
into the html.

I have tried what statica said, regards putting the background image into the flash movie. It does work to an extent......the background image consists of small checks and at the joint of the two frames, they just don't quite match. It is only a tiny amount off line, but you can notice it! and it is also a slightly different colour. I edit in Frontpage 2000 and have stretched the flash move all ways and I just can't get it to match!

Any ideas.....or I am I going to be forced into putting a plain background in!!
