dialup woes...

Friends mom called me up today, says when she connects to the internet, no pages load. She is getting a page cannot be displayed error. Wierd thing is, she is connected to the internet.

So i go over, connect, and sure enough, it does connect to the dialup server, and no webpages will load. I go in DOS and ping my server, comes back fine.

Check all the normal settings, nothing looks out of wack. So i reload the latest IE, that doesnt change a thing. Then I installed firefox, thinking it was some wierd thing affecting IE, but firefox doesnt work either

I ran virus scan(AVG) and ad-aware/spybot, both came up clean. What could the problem be?? this is very odd

TIA ^dan

ps. running xp pro
