Hello. For over 15 hours, I have not been able to access my own website or webmail. Now I thought maybe this would be my websites server being the problem, however everyone I have asked to access my site from their own computers have been able to access it. And according to my shopping cart, im still making money since ive been "down"!
I can still access any other website on the web as well. So if it is not my websites server and not my ISP, what in the world can it be? My website is http://www.rockabillymonthly.com Thanks for any ideas. Orlando Last edited by rockabilly; 09-28-2004 at 10:23 AM. Reason: misspelling |

Assuming you have XP or Win2K, open a command prompt and type:
ipconfig /flushdns Reboot. |

I use IE 6. I did the DNS flush, rebooted, and still same problem.
When attempting to get on the site, the status bar says "opening page http://www.....". It then "times out" and goes to a page cannot be displayed page. And ie does this autosearch thing (where it goes through domain extensions like .net, .org etc.)ending it up at www.www.rockabillymonthlyl.com.org (no i didnt accidentaly type www twice.). One note: Even after clearing the history of IE, when i start typing the rockabillymonthly address in the address bar, the address is still saved. Anything? |

Just curious...
try using this link to access the site: http://www.rockabillymonthly.com/ This should insert the link directly into the browser.....if this doesn't work, I'd start checking your internet options and also clear your cache and temp files.... Last edited by Rebel_526; 09-28-2004 at 01:27 PM. |

tried the link technique, and no dice. I do not understand why I cant access this one site of mine! This is the weirdest thing ive ever encountered.
Do you think I should maybe download a fresh copy of IE? Remember the not being able to delete the address bar autocomplete of rockabillymonthly. |

I think it's time to download and install Adaware and Spybot S&D, then make sure your anti-virus defs are up-to-date, and start doing a complete system scan with all the above
Or, you could make the switch to Mozilla

ran adaware and mcaffee. Besides an ezula thing, nothing. I did delete the ezula thing though.
I got mozilla....nothing. Still not working. I just do not understand why every other computer in the world can access my site except me. I cant even get on to my ftp with smartftp either. Always times out. ANy other suggestions? I will give a free subscription to anyone who gives me the winning answer to my problems. |

Have you tried an online virus scan? House call is generally recomended, maybe even installing AVG (free antivirus) just to tripple check.

Run tracert from your computer to your site and post the results.

Do you run your own server??? If that's the case then maybe some of your settings got changed that block 127.0.0.1 or your MAC address?
