?????
I don't even know what title to give this topic...but here is the problem!
I have ADSL...but when the screen save starts, I get kicked out of MSN, if I am listening to WinAmp it stops working, and my back up backup software gives me a message saying that connection to the server was lost.... Any ideas as to why this keeps happening. |

On the screensaver tab in Display Properties, click on the Power button and turn off Hibernation (if enabled) and set the harddrive and System Standby to "Never." See if that solves the problem.
By default, XP also turns off the network card when idle. You can disable that in Device Manager, expand the Network Adapter category, double click on the network adapter listed there, go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," click OK to save the change. |

Also Sygate Personal Firewall has an option to disable a connection (or something like that, my network would stop working when the screensaver came on) when the screensaver comes on. But this only applies to you if you are running Sygate.
