Thunderbird reply problem

I just switched from OE to Thunderbird. Tbird works fine and did a good job of transferring my old emails to the new application.

However, when I reply to an email that contains attached pictures, the pictures are automatically attached to the reply as well.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature off. I want replies to contain the text of the original, not the attached pictures.

Thanks in advance.

HT

Since I posted the original question I found an extension that sort of solves the problem. The extension is called Quick Reply. It adds an extra box to the desktop where a text reply can be entered and then sent. It's a second best solution, but it works.

Again, if anyone knows how to change the settings directly in Tbird to reply without the image attachments, I'd appreciate it.

It's a bug in TB, I read a bug report somewhere in Bugzilla explaining the problem when I found out about the issue, hopefully the developers will fix it in later versions.

Thanks. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
