Chat and some image windows dont show up Help!

i have installed flash player to c some igames and so on but i still can't c chat windows, it shows up as a white window with little red x in the top left corner. Which program do i need to install casue i forgot.

are you chatting or instant messaging?? if chatting, is it supported by Java?? You may need to update your java if that's the case. I know that MS and Sun had a little spat about java a few years back, so some systems only support some crazy messed up "java"

If you're chatting through the browser (as opposed to using a chat client like mIRC), it's most likely java chat.

To download Sun's java, go to this page and click on the "Get it now" button.
