Now that the 6.01 version out, am tempted to try it; however, after the 6.0 fiasco I'm gun-shy. Anyone else gonna try it? Lawman, glc?

Sarge, is NS the only browser you use? Just curious. I'm a IE fan and wondering about IE 6.0

No, been using IE 5.5 since it came out. Wifey has NS 4.74 on "her" Gateway 450, so that's why I'm gun-shy about changing it to the newer version. She wasn't happy last time I "upgraded" for her and it crashed

Sarge, when the wifey is smiling and typing her emails and letters without a hitch, why rock the boat?

The only problems I've had with NS 6.01 is some secure pages -- those written for and running on M$ NT/2000 server. I don't know what the problem is, but hte pages just do not load.

Sarge - just update it to 4.76 using the jar updater I mentioned in your previous post about this. I will not be using 6.01 myself - I'm happy with Opera.

Carl - too many beta issues - stay away from IE6 till its more refined.

No 6.0 or 6.01 for me...it was able to crash both perfectly stable win98 and win2k machines...and on the win98 machines the file associations are still set up for it, so everytime I click on a file it looks for NS6. Anybody have a link or a suggestion how to get rid of this? Thanks. For me..I don't like IE and NS 4.76 works just perfect so far...

You can run winfile and reassociate your files in 9x with the old school Win3.1 file manager .
