Simple, Effective Spam Tool for Outlook?
I have a client that needs spam protection for Outlook. He is impatient and just wants something "now". I don't use Outlook regularly, and I also do not use spam blockers and never have.
Can anyone recommend a good spam blocker for Outlook? I'd prefer a free one but if it's a retail software package, that works, too. Thanks! |

SpamBayes is free and very good. I use it every day. You can get it at http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/

Before installing any software, see if their ISP offers server side spam blocking. Many do these days, that's all I use (I'm with Earthlink).

disruptor ol is an outlook plugin. no software runs concurrently. It has a one-click set and forget it mode. after installing a popup asks if you want one click or power user mode. it's been a while since I installed a new version so I can't tell you the exact wording. In it's default configuration it learns as you get new spam. with a simple toolbar he can click "is spam" or "is not spam" as the case may be. It's great for simple mode and super geeks as well who aren't afraid to click "setup".
