Can't log on to net with Win98
Just finished a clean install of win98se into a friends pc. Now I'm trying to access the net using my internet service. My other pc share the same services via a router. All I did was unplug my net cable and put it into the lan adapter on the pc with win98 installed. The card is new and with updated drivers. I forgot how to access the net with win98 Itried to have it automatically find settings and also tried to manually set my address. I compare my address to my wifes laptop to see if that would work, but no good. thanks

Go to the control panel and click "Internet Properties>Connections>Setup" and follow the wizard for a lan connection.
