well I pinged it again later on and it went to 70ms, and I said to myself, crap, the cabel is going out again, soon after I was getting timeouts and sure enough the cabel light went out on the modem, called RR and had a tech come out at 2:00 pm, and he varified what I have been saying for over a month now, there was a problem in the node for this area.

called RR back and voiced my feelings, and they gave me a credit for the past month, and said they would expidate the salution for me.
its now 2:34 pm and I am now back on line, ping back to 54ms.

sorry I just had to vent a bit, I get too upset when I don't have the internet.
