I am dealing with a dial-up client who has an Xp laptop. The problem is that when he connects to our servers this guy cant download even a 2Kb email it takes something like 30 minutes. I updated this guys anti-virus (NAV '04) can this be a problem? The other thing when tryin to help him out i disabled the email scanning nothing changed.
Help me out. |

At first glance it sounds like a modem problem. What about surfing the web? Is that slow also, or just with your servers?

Is he the only one experiencing the problems?
As Carpedebass said it may be a problem with his modem.

Surfing is alright, but only the part of Outlook, this is puzzling me. I tried to patch up his laptop with the latest patches but time run out so i will b workin on it tomorrow and see if the pathes helped. When i put the laptop on my workplace network it downloaded fine. So i guess i will observe it and giv u guys some fidbac. |
