SP6 and SP2 Big ??
Yesterday (sat.)I down loaded I.E. updates. Everything went fine till it started I.E.Sp6. IT down loaded ok but when it came to install I spent over 6hrs.and the thermometer never moved from half way.I am on dail up and I know it takes longer but this long? so I canceled.Only lost I.E SP6.I was told not to install SP2 till I install 6.I checked with Win. updates and there is no mention of this. I have a SP2 cd and wish to install SP2. Any one know for sure?

No, you can go ahead and install SP2 as the updates are already included.

I don't think so... I've done clean installs on original pre SP1 XP discs and gone straight to SP2 no problem.

I have a pre SP1 disk and have installed SP2 several times without going through SP1.
