I think I have a worm/virus

Late last week, I was doing a search online and came across a web site that was very suspicious. It had a ton of pop-ups (porn ads, etc.) and was loading scripts and things like that. It at one point tried to load something that just totally slowed my computer down, and I panicked and clicked out.

Ever since this happened, my computer has been EXTREMELY slow. It takes forever to load programs and I have had a lot of odd things happening.

I have Norton Antivirus (updated) but no firewall other than the one built into my router. I have scanned for viruses twice and it finds nothing. I have also run a scandisk and it found no errors.

I also ran a spyware check and cleaned it up and I still have the problem.

Is there any program out there that I can run to check my computer for worms?

The link that ghost has given you takes you to the highjackthis thread which is an excellent way to see what is running on your machine.
You might also want to consider running all of your antivirus and malware scans in safemode or with system restore switched off, this thread will give you some information on how and why to do this.

Did you run AdAware and Spybot first? If that doesn't help try Hijack This.
