Testing Server Question (Apache?)
I'm working with Dreamweaver MX and it tells me that I need a testing server. I looked up a good testing server at webthang tutorials and it told me I could use apache. I decided to bounce this off you guys and see what you thought.
Basically, what testing server should I use? I don't know too much about hosting here, so use simple language. Thanks, Mr. Howdeedoo |

By testing server, I assume that you mean a server to develop your site on before you upload it. You can download Apache 2 for Windows. Also you can get something like PHPTriad which installs, PHP, MySQL, Perl and Apache on your computer.
If you have XP, you could also install IIs (Internet Information Server) in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components and select Internet Information Server. Plenty of tutorials for both.

I would use a server program like AppServ here. It's an open source Apache server with PHP and MySQL.
