quick launch in firefox
i have firefox set up on 2 computers, one of them the quick launch works like IE i click on firefox -click the quick launch and the page comes up in firefox. the other i go on firefox and if i just clich the quick launch icon it comes up in IE if i drag the icon onto the screen then it comes up in firefox. both are set to firefox as default browser.

See if you can right click it and choose the properties. See where it is pointing to.

not sure what you mean mrmister but i noticed something else, on the comp. that isn't working the quicklaunch, when i click firefox in quick launch it dials me on the internet, and it also acts like firefox is not the default since everything comes up in IE .

Right click on the icon and choose properties. Check to see what it's pointing to.

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" if i right click the firefox icon. is this what you mean?

More than likely, you had IE set as the default browser before Firefox. Even tho you think Firefox is the default browser IE is grabbing back default status. Change IE back to where it is not susposed to be default. Also this computer seems to have the "dial default conection if no connection present" checkbox checked because it dials the default whenever you are not connected. Firefox will set that up if you import settings when you install if you already have it set up in IE. Check those two settings and set them where you want them. Your problem should be solved (I hope).

i think you got it carl, it seemed like IE was the default even though firefox was saying it was. i'll check what you said and let you know,but i'm pretty sure that will work.

it worked carl and i thank you, i like the add blocker extension offered in firefox and the adds on IE were sure annoying after getting used to not having them.
