little firefox problem
on my email (lycos) both my wife and i have an account, in profiles i checked save password, on initial log in i checked save password for both usernames, in the foxfier saved passwords they show up. NOW the problem, when i go to the email site there is no drop down (as in other browsers) with both usernames, BUT if i type the username in it auto. inserts the password.
if i remove either username from saved passwords then when i go to the email it auto. puts in both username and password. is this common or am i doing something wrong?

Do you have it automatically deleting the cache and cookies on exit?

unless it is set by default i don't, i haven't found that option. on my other email account (opera) i am the only user and it shows both user name and password, and on lycos if i set it up for only one user it also shows both.

disreguard i got disgusted, went back to IE and took HAL's advice an put ad blocker on and it corrected the slow pcmech startup which was my main gripe with IE.the sp2 took care of the popups and this covered the rest.

For future reference, double-click the username field, select a username and click it.

Couldn't you have used a mail client (unless it is purely web-based?) or just remembered your password? If you have a couple of reasonably secure passwords and use different ones for accounts that reference other ones, you should be fine and not have to remember a whole lot

I believe Lycos is strictly a Web-based e-mail service.

found the problem, i was working with save passwords in the privacy setup, i finally thought and checked save form information and got it to work. and aym i am using 1.0, just a case of ignorance in knowing how to get it to do what i wanted. persistance finally paid off , i knew if it worked for you guys and gals it worked ,it was just a matter of finding out how. thanks for working with me.
