Transfering to Thunderbird

Hi,
i just installed Thunderbird 1.0 and i imported all my messages from local folders on OE6, but i want to import my hotmail account folders. i tried to create a new account but i dont know what to put for "incoming mail server:" or "outgoing..." can you please help

You cant check hotmail accounts with thunderbird without a 3rd party program.

This is good but you need to have java installed. http://mrpostman.sourceforge.net/

You can only check mail you will not be able to send mail with this program.

You may now have difficulty trying to set up anything to check MSN/Hotmail that's not already established as checking such accounts elsewhere than the website is now a premium service. People whose Outlook Express are presently doing it are running on grandfather rights that will be eliminated in the future.

I don't understand... are they going to charge for a hotmail account??

They are gonna start to charge to be able to check it with outlook or any other program. They will still offer free web based email.
