Yes, you would have one connected to each NIC card, but I'm not too sure what the advantage would be, especially if both connections are active at the same time I'm not to sure how well the web browsing thing would go cause I wonder if the browser would get confused as to which connection to use.

I agree, kt. Think it's an either/or situation. Can't see how you could run two browser windows at the same time with separate connections.

Hmm, what if one was running IE and the other was on Firefox?

I doubt you'll see any speed difference. The reason is because your applications will use the default gateway or "route". There are a few exceptions to this rule, such as programs that allow you to set which interface to use.

A friend of mine recently bought himself a cheap dual-WAN port router (can't remember the name), connected both his 4 meg DSL and 5 meg cable to it, and used Download Accelerator. The router was set for load balancing, and when used in conjunction with D.A., it load balanced all the multiple connections from D.A. in between his DSL and cable.

Regards,

Mike

P.S. I know Linksys makes dual-wan port routers, and they are generally $200+ CAD. This one that my friend was using was only $~130 CAD
