Exclamation Trouble downloading large things off internet?

hey guys. Ive been having some problems with downloading things with large sizes off the net. Two things that brought me to this is Roxio Easy Media suite's update manager, and Beyond TV listing updater. Easy Media's Updater begins dowloading updates off the net, but for some reason at certain point, the download bar just freezes. Its been doing this for the past 2 days, with me frequently re-trying it. I check the networking settings, the utilization is at 0%. For BTV, when I try to download my listings, the program just returns an error saying that it failed to download the new file. Now, recently I had to update my router's firmware, since my comps were giving me the "Limited, or no connectivity" bubble in windows. could my router have something to do with it?

oh and btw, one of my comps on the network is a webserver, could that be causing these probs?

TIA,
CN

Try restarting your router - if this doesn't help, do a hard reset on it and reconfigure it. This is a good thing to do after a firmware upgrade anyway.

alright ill start i off from scratch. before updating it, i did shut it off for a good amount of time (couple hours, since i was busy doing other stuff anyway), so i guess that did the reset. but i think ill start from scratch and reconfigure it. anyway, ive been doing alot of work on my network, so that might help.

TIA,

Hard reset = reset to factory defaults. Just turning it off for a few hours does not do this.

Yep, I know. I actually went and clicked on the "restore factory defaults" button in the web admin. I re-entered my settings, and everything seems to be working fine...except for the roxio updater. The download bar still freezes at random points whenever i tried to grab the updates. I still wonder if that problem is on my end, or if something is timing out the download process, such as something on their servers.
