Strange Display Anomaly

I recently picked up a 19" CRT Viewsonic aperture grill monitor (Model P95f+black) and I am noticing one strange display glitch (I attached a link to a screen print).

It's a little hard to explain and hard to see, but here goes...
It seems to happen with solid rows of darker colour. It creates a distortion on the screen that runs right across the desktop, including the background and even the icons and other windows in the background. I know it's the darker areas because if I scroll around or move the window, the distortion follows the same spot as it moves.

Again, the problem seems to happen with anything, the screen print shows Firefox but the problem isn't specific to Firefox.
HERE IS THE SCREEN PRINT
Make sure it's shown in maximum size... easier to see the issue.

Again, hard to explain but take a look at the screen print and see if you have any suggestions. Aside from this, the monitor is fantastic.

Thanks for tackling this one, it's not a big deal but a bit annoying.

Have you attempted a degause, does the monitor have monitor mounted speakers, or did it have in the past?

Can't say I notice anything in the screenshot.
