IP address......(static?)
how can one tell if they have a static IP address or just a dynamic one? I have "business" dsl with SBC and their so called "help/support" phone # is worthless. I was just wondering if there was a way to tell if its static or not.
Thanks

Try this page, you may be able to tell what kind of acct. you have by how much your monthly fee is.

well, my sbc address changes every 24 hours i think, so you could try www.whatismyip.com over two days and if they change, you have dynamic. if they don't change, you may have static, but you would prolly have to call on that

If you are paying less than 60 bucks a month, it's dynamic. Your best bet is a dynamic DNS service such as dyndns.org.
