IE 6 hangs after initial (default) page loads
Removed 500+ adaware critters and 150+ spybot.
Used Bazooka to remove Hotbar with their online instructions. Before removal (all removal not just hotbar) Internet Explorer closed with an illegal operation related to a toolbar. That toolbar removed with Hijack This. It had about:blank. What a mess. Well it was apparently clean but now i get an explorer caused a booboo in kernel32. And if it does load (IE) it only works till you close out the window. You can navigate around and search (google homepage) but when you want to go back into IE via the blue ball it hangs and ya gotta reboot. I set up an icon on the desktop for another link the customer wants to have available and it loads and functions well till you close it down and then you cannot go back into IE. When you clikit the computer hangs. Is there any repair function for the downloaded service packs for IE? Does any1 know what is wrong? Tanks, Alan |

i can't wait to get home and try this tool. os is 98se and i think i already installd the vbrun6 files. even if this does not fix this particular machine i think this utility is a great addition to my arsenal of repair utilities. thanks again, alan |
