my internet is being slow as hell..

first off i would like to say i have no spyware or viruses.

now. secondly. for the last day or so My internet has been going really slow. i mean my games have pings like 300+ when they would normaly be like 50.

Also i ran 2 bandwidth tests. and 1 gave me 750, another 1000 and another 1.6mb

i have a 7mb line and this is really sucking.. I really dont know whats wrong.. i was thinking about calling the isp

I'd call them and ask for a supervisor from the get-go. I doubt that that there is anything you can do to fix this, sounds like something on thier end. You may want to do a tracert to various places, would at least tell you where the hold-up is.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but have you scanned for spyware? Some forms of it are known to suck up bandwith.

Call the ISP- my roadrunner once suddenly slowed down, to almost a standstill- the service guy found that, for some reason, the cable from the basement (where the cable comes in) to the upstairs (where the router is) had become faulty (he had a meter to test this). He replaced the coaxial cable and the internet speed went back to normal.

I've also had slowdowns when the ISP is upgrading or adding services to new communities for short periods.
