uninstall IE
how do i go about uninstalling IE completely??? im getting an error each time i open it and when i go to update windows it gives me this error and closes. can this be fixed by just having firefox being my default web browser or does windows update need IE to run?

windows update needs IE to run, so i woudln't try that. what exactly is the error?

thanks for the quick replies. i just got new memory today and ever since i put it in its maken my comp really touchy. its kingston hyperX 2 sticks of 512 ddr 400. the dual channed wont work on my mobo so its in single now. before i put this new mem in i had some but not alot of problems with IE. now it wont even show my homepage. it just opens a blank window then the "do you wish to tell microsoft about this" error report thing comes up and it closes.
