firefox not loading pictures
i have Mozilla firefox 1.0 installed but it will not load the pictures and logos etc on some pages eg 'Amazon' and 'Newegg' i have tried reinstalling it, this does not change anything. and in the Tools, Options menu load images it ticked.
can anyone please help? |

Got a link to a page that isn't working right for you? Other's can try it and see if it's the page(s) or not.

www.amazon.com (or .co.uk) and
www.newegg.com both of these work on my computer with firefox installed exactly the same, but not my mums just remebered some pages wont open either, but they will on my pc eg http://download.openoffice.org/index.html Last edited by bobby-jo; 02-20-2005 at 07:22 AM. |

They worked OK for me. I tried playing with the settings to duplicate the problem, but no go...
Anybody got any ideas?? (like maybe a firewall setting?) |

Kinda sounds like a Zone Alarm 5.x issue to me, you may be on to something there, TR.

i dont have zone alarm i use norton its set up the same as my pc i think (which im on now and the linx work and display the pics)

Norton firewall? Turn it off. If that fixes it (and I bet it does) you need to review its configuration or get rid of it.
