How do you use Mirc?

I purchased a copy of Mirc so I could learn more about IRC. I'm still confused on how to use it. There's a scheduled chat tonight on a local Linux group. Could someone tell me how to use the following NFO to connect? Thanks.

irc.freenode.net
port 6667,
/join #lilax

1. Fire up Mirc
2. In the "Options" screen that pops up, click on "servers" in the left pane
3. Under "IRC Network" select "Freenode"
4. Click "Connect to Server"
5. After it's done connecting, type "/join #lilax" (without the quotes of course)

Thanks. So I don't need to enter port 6667 anywhere?

If you go to the "options" page under where it says "Servers", 6667 should already be listed as your default port.
