Can you tell us what Operating system you are using along with antivirus and spyware scanners? also when was the last time you updated it all and ran the scans?

I am not a big fan of Norton at the moment and therefore I recommend to my customers to use: AVG7 free antivirus from www.grisoft.com Adaware free spyware scanner from www.lavasoft.com Microsoft Antispyware free beta version available from www.microsoft.com The Cleaner trojan cleaner trial version available from www.moosoft.com The chances are, that application is running in the background and by default windows will not delete any application that is open and neither will it allow any third party software to delete an application that is open, therefore after downloading and installing the above, update them all and then consider running your scans in safemode, have a read of this thread for some information on safemode. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=115633 |

cstrikededi.page.us
Hi
I too have a problem with cstrikededi.page.us constantly trying to connect to the internet every time I disconnect and it's a right pain in the a**. I have never played online games and have no idea where it came from. I'm currently using XP and have Norton 2005 antivirus running. I've tried HijackThis but am dubious about deleting registry values (let's just say I had a nasty experience doing this before and had to reformat my computer). I've also searched the net for advice but there aren't too many people with this problem (obviously I feel very privileged to be one of the few). Seriously though, if anyone knows how to get rid of this, I'd be most grateful! NI. |

If you are hesitant about deleting registry values, just make a system restore point prior to doing it - that way, if you screw up you can boot into safe mode and do a restore.
