IE Host

When I go to add/remove progs It shows a program called IE Host installed. When I click the uninstall button this really poorly made window comes up that say please wait while we download the uninstaller. I have not let it finish. I have tried about 5 different premiere spyware progs and norton antivirus and it shows no viruse or spyware. Anyone know what this is?

Believe it or not that is a malicious hijack, yet one of the only ones I know of with an uninstaller. You can use the uninstaller. I also am of the opinion there are barely even 5 "premiere" anti-spyware applications out there. It would be helpful if you would list the ones you use, good chance one is on the rouge application list. After uninstalling that, we can begin removing the spyware. I am suprised that Spybot, Ad-aware, or MS AS beta didn't pick it up though.

I actually just reformated and reinstalled windows. I had other reasons than just this. Buy Anyways I can't believe you knew what that was. I few searches and got nothing. And you mean that installer would have really worked? I thought it was trying to download and install more hazerdous materials. Check out my other thread "Am I getting Jacked" LMAO I didnt actually know I was being hyjacked. My computer was sendin out info like crazy

Ohh yeah I missed that one. Yep, It's a hijack. It's sometimes easier that way (reinstalling) anyway. Yours could likely have been fixed no prob, but like you said, you had other reasons. I have the misfortune of removing spyware all day at work. There aren't many I haven't seen..lol

Edit: In the future, check on what antispyware apps you are installing. For curiousities sake, do you remember what they were?
