"slide-over" blocker?
forget popups... what do you recommend for blocking flash / js "slide-over" ads? Preferably a opensource/free solution of course... I always found companies that charge $30 for a pop-up blocker software to be rather greedy.

I guess the only way to block everything is to:
- Disable javascript - Disable java - Disable flash. Adblock/Adsubtract etc will probably help in this. |

any experience with said software? Most "solutions" turn out to be bloatware that do not integrate well with the system, so a personal experience would be good =)

I use adblock - but it needs firefox. If there are any scripts, images, or flash files that I don't like I right click -> adblock or bring up a list of objects on the page. It is also an extension so not a additional program that does not add programs to startup or anything.
Adsubtract is for IE - Hal uses it, and he can probably tell you more about it. I think you have to pay though. |
