Question download problem

I am using win xp and mostly use firefox browser, but also use msn browser. The problem I seem to be having is when I try to download something from the internet the download will stop and I have to close it out and try again. I have to keep doing this until I get whatever I am trying to download to a 100%. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I use the MSN9 web browser and have tried FireFox 1.0 and my broadband connection slows allot with both on my computer as well as failed downloads.

The only fix I found for this is a WindowsXP reinstall and dont put FireFox on my computer, The two dont seem to want to coexist.

I'm waiting for FireFox 2.0 to come out next year and if MSN doesnt make some real improvements by then I'm moving to FireFox, I only keep MSN for a few things but FireFox is the better browser.

I would try using a wired connection on that problem PC, just to find out if it's the wireless that is actually the problem, I suspect it is..
