Internet explorer problem????
First I am running Windows XP home SP2. A while back I started seeing a problem when typing in a web address such as www.pcmech.com an Internet explorer error message appears and says "cannot find 'www.pcmech.com'. make sure path or internet address is correct". It is not site specific and does the same for all addresses but if I type in http://www.pcmech.com it works. I have tried to reset internet options on explorer but I have had no luck. I am not sure but I think this might have happened after a windows update but as i said I'm not sure because I have it set to automatic updates. Please I need help this is crazy.

Are you behind a personal router, or behind a router such as on a school network?
