Boom Aol

AOL 6.0 - I am trying to load AOL 6.0 on my new System (WIN/Me) and get an error msg: WAOL error with file async.tol. I called aol they said the cd was bad to try another, I did that same problem?

My only question is: why the heck are you using AOL?!
Obviously this is a sign from a higher power telling you to get another, BETTER service.

Start the computer up in Safe Mode and try installing it. If it doesn't work there, make sure async.tol doesn't already exist on your computer. Search for it and delete it.

Whether you think it's any good or not, AOL *IS* the largest ISP in existence, so we do try to help with its many issues here. You cannot install AOL software in safe mode, not with all the networking changes it makes. Try shutting off all background tasks, especially your virus scanner, empty the \windows\temp folder, and try again.
