Thumbs up Firefox

I would just like to say thanks to pcmech for tell us about Firefox. We put it on our main comp to check out and I must say WOW what a huge difference. No more slow pages, just very easy and very fast. We have not found one thing yet to complain about. My girlfriend builds websites and she cannot believe the difference. All I can say again is thanks for letting us all know about this great place. Thanks again for also keeping us informed, you all here at pcmech deserve a pat on the back everyday.

Ouch

Just a small word of warning, yesterday I downloaded Firefox. During installation I got an error message "installation failed". Then blue screen of death, PC crashed and restarted, during restart it ran check disk but didnt find any errors. After it had rebooted I discovered that my email inbox was empty (outlook express). I have lost all my saved mail and so far have been unable to retrieve it. I can navigate to the identities folder which has over 70Kb in it, but the only program it will open with is notepad, but this only displays what look like hieroglyphics. I have tried importin this folder into outlook express but all I get is "The specified message store can not be opened". Can anyone suggest anything else?

Athlon 2500, 512Mb RAM, ATI 9800pro, DVD-RW, DVD ROM, Seagate Barracuda 60GB HDD, Albatron KT 400+ motherboard, XP SP2
