Question Outlook Express 5 locking up.

I have a PC I am working on running 32mb of RAM with Windows 95. The person is using Prodigy as ther ISP with Internet Explorer 5.5 setup as his browser and Outlook Express as the mail client. When going into Outlook Express and typing in a new mail message and then hitting the send/receive button Outlook Express Locks up, I have to go into task manager and kill the application. I have re-installed Windows, I have also gone out to the Microsoft Site and downloaded and re-installed Explorer and Outlook Express, and re-installed Prodigy. None of which have help. I have called Prodigy, they have been useless, they ran me through checking dialup setting etc. Has anyone ran into this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions for me at this point. I believe the person using the PC is running Prodigy version 5.0, he claims when he went out and did an upgrade on Prodigy's website, which I believe upgraded his browser to 5.5, he then started having the problems.
