makin a dex?
hi
i was just wondering: you know when you open a domain on the internet (like www.pcmech.com) you actually get taken to www.pcmech.com/index.htm or index.html if this is not present you get taken to what to the best of my knowledge is called a dex (looks like a list of files) is there anny way to make IE do this even if there is a index.html??? thanks |

Many hosts do not allow a directory listing.

It isn't an IE thing. It is a webserver thing. You can make anything although commonly index.htm, index.html, default.htm, default.asp or index.php.
Dex is not the correct term. It is just directory browsing, also set in the server. |
