Opening Hotmail In Avant Browser?
Hello.
I have recently switched from IE to Avant Browser and have set Avant as my default. However, when using MSN Messanger 7.0 and i get a pop up message telling me i have new mail, when i click on it, it still opens in IE. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change this so it opened in Avant. I would also like to know if it was possible to unistall IE or would that be a bad move. Thanks, Ian |

MSN Messenger links are designed to call IE, not the default browser. It may be possible to change the calls, but it would require registry tweaking. For now, treat it as more of an annoyance. If it is too much, the try using another IM - or one that will integrate MSN's functionality .. like trillian
Re: removing IE. It is highly recommended that you not attempt such an issue. Other than the obvious problems you would face with the browser being so tightly integrated with your OS .. you still need IE to update your OS on windowsupdate.com |
