Site Problem

I am currently a member of www.simds.com and have been able to open this site with no problem lately, but now when I go there I get this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.simds.com Port 80

I have talked to some of the other people that go to this site and they have no problems with it. I've tried changing security settings and clearing out cache and even turning off my firewall, but it hasn't done any good. I'm all out of solutions. Please help.

Don't think it will change anything, but did you try entering the IP address (216.32.68.18)?

Can you ping the website and get replies?

Are you in a network? If so, can others get on?

I have not heard of just one website giving somebody a 403, so I will hopefully learn something from the thread.

What do you mean by entering the ip address?
I pinged the site and got 4 replies.
I'm not in a network.

instead of entering the website address www.simds.com into your web browser, enter there ip address for the web page. you can get there ip address by doing a ping request.
start>run>cmd>ping -t www.simds.com

Usually that error is because you have tried to go to a directory that has no index page and directory browsing is turned off. On this site they also have a redirect from simds.com to simds.com/modules/news/ which is the home page. Try accessing it via the redirect instead http://www.simds.com/modules/news/ .

When I put in the ip address I got this error: There is no website configured at this address.

You are seeing this page because there is nothing configured for the site you have requested. If you think you are seeing this page in error, please contact the site administrator or datacenter responsible for this site.

About cPanel:

But then I tried that link that mairving gave and it worked. Thanks for your help guys. Still don't get why I got the error in the first place though.

What browser are you using, and if only one, try it in different browsers. If it is just in one browser, you might think about sending the webmaster an e-mail informing him/her.

Ok, the site has been working fine since mairving gave that link, but now it's doing it again.Same error.

I'm using IE 6 and Netscape 7 and it happens in both browsers.
