Opera observations
I have been using Firefox since it was Phoenix, and Mozilla & Netscape since v4. before that.I had to use IE when I was working because that is what my company used and I hated it due to it being bloated & subject to all sorts of spyware. I downloaded Opera 8 several days ago,and although the learning curve is different I think I going to like it. It appears to be a little faster than Firefox although I realize it is probally perception. Opera has rendered all the sites I have visited without a problem so I don't see what's not to like about it.
Just my observations,comments welcome. |

I have been using Opera for a year now and I really like it myself. I'm currently using 8.0 too. It has a lot of nice little features if you want to use them. I even convinced my wife to switch to Opera. I like the tabbed browsing and the little sticky note panel for jotting things down.

I've been using it since version 5.12 and it's been great!

Another vote for Opera. I use it exclusively except when doing tests on my beta websites. I love it - the integrated IRC, the Mail client, the RSS reader, its all pretty sweet. You weren't just seeing things when you noticed that things loaded faster - Opera caches pages you go to frequently so it doesn't have to re-download images more than necessary.

I really like the browser itself, however the ads in the free version just really bug me for some reason. The cost of the full version isn't really worth it, especially seeing that FF can do almost everything Opera can with extensions.

I tried it a couple of times and it seems a bit slower than ff.

I've only used firefox mainly in testing, like kstatefan40, and I must say that it has a fairly klunky feel to it that I don't much care for.
