Any of you have the problem where:
When you click on "Clear History" within the Tools\Internet Options button, When you go back to the address bar in IExplorer and type in the www.m It still brings up the history of the browser \ it brings up the previous sites visited that start with 'm', now at this stage i would have expected the "history" to have been cleared out - no? It should clear out the history, when you use the button. Have you tried clearing the history .. then closing IE and restarting?

Are you running any "antibrowser hijack" utilities that prevent your browser state from changing? It could be a possible explanation.
Try starting your registry editor (START > RUN > regedit) Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs and try cleaning out everything BUT THE Default key name |

I used to have this problem with IE before (then I switched to Firefox
) and sometimes I had to manually right-click and delete each entry to clear them from the history. Check if there are any updates available for IE6 on WindowsUpdate, that might sort it out.

To clear out the web sites visited right click on the task bar, select properties, select the advanced tab, then click clear (clears recent document access, programs and web sites)
