I am considering switching to Vonage VOIP service and have a few questions I was hoping some of you could help me out with.
I do a LOT of gaming and dowloading of files and it is my understanding that this could interfere with the voice quality of calls. Would it be a good idea to get a 2nd IP address and a second cable modem dedicated only to the phone adapter as not to interfere with the phone calls? I notice that the phone adapters only come with 2 phone jacks. If I wanted to connect more lines could I just get a traditional splitter or would I have to purchase another phone adapter? Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you use the Vonage router, it will give priority to voice calls over data. If anything, using the phone will slow down your Internet connection.
