Connection alot slower after using router
I recently purchased a router so that both my PCs can surf the net simultaneously. the PC is connected wirelessly by the way. I've realised that my connection is now slower than before. If I watch internet TV for example, its extremely laggy now whereas before it was fine. Is there anything I can do about it or is that inevitable cause my internet connection is now routed and not connected directly?? I have a cable connection by the way. I'm using an SMC router SMC7004WFW
