Like i mentioned in my earlier thread, My PC is now connected to the internet thru a router wirelessly. After installeing I realised that I can't use Kazaa and Limewire anymore. If i try to download anything the max speed i get is 2kb/sec!! but it usually jus dies after awhile....anyone know wat's wrong???? help please.....

Be prepared for problems no matter what P2P software you use. It's the whole concept that's risky.

It's been hotly debated, even ruled on by the US Supreme Court, but the programs themselves are not necessarily illegal. However, if the developers promote the programs as a means of trading copyrighted material, then the program can be deemed "illegal". Before the ruling, the programs themselves were all perfectly legal, it was (and still is) what the end users do with the programs that makes their actions legal or illegal. So, if you're swapping first run movies, then yes it's illegal. If you're swapping Linux ISOs, then no, it's not illegal.

so these programs are desind for people like me who play gutiar, keybord ect, so if i record my self this is legal to use to distrubute it

Yes. They are just designed as a way to share/distribute files between people. It could be anything really. Pictures of your family vacations, music you've recorded, freeware, text files, video clips, anything. But because of this ability to share anything, lots of people lean towards using it for distributing warez.

helo
hey guys this is really imp!
i got back from lebanon,i opened limewire,and the firewall sign appeared,then no message saying (your pc may be blockin limewire...),and it still says starting connection,i checked my firewall,everythin is ok,i turned it on and off,nothin happened. then i went to use utorrent,not a single torrent worked,so there is somethin wrong,i tried everythin,but nothin worked. later that night,they worked both of them.but 2day,the same **** occured 1ce again so plz guys i apreciate if somebody can help.peace!(im using nod32) |
