Publishing IP onto web page

Hi,

I'm running Serv-U on a Win98SE machine with ICS and I have to e-mail my IP address when it changes. This service will only run for about a year or so. Basically, I'm working on a school project and it would be nice for my group to store our work in a central location. I would like to know if there is a way to publish a dynamic ip address onto a web page (hosted by my ISP).

Any help would be much appreciated.

you can also make a batch file that does an

ipconfig.exe > ip.htm

and then does an ftp to some webspace.

then schedule the batch file to run every few hours.

I'm using this method and it works ok.

Hey mosquito,

How do I make this batch file to execute every few hours? Is this function available in Windows or do I need a third party program?

Thanks

There is a scheduler built in in windows. You should find it somewhere. It's an item called "scheduled tasks". I don't know where it is in Win98, but in win2K it's in "control Panel/scheduled tasks"
