Retreiving Outlook express messages

Windows must have been corrupted on my computer, as I can't get it to boot properly. I installed a fresh copy on another hard drive, and slaved my original. Now, I'm trying to get me Outlook Express Email and Settings off the original Hard Drive, but I don't know where or how they're saved.

Settings can't be recovered unless you previously exported them to an .iaf file. The address book is a .wab file, the mail folders are a bunch of .dbx files, location is dependent on what version of Windows you have - but they will always be under an Identities folder. The address book can be directly imported with the wizard, so can the mailboxes when you find them - you use the import wizard and choose from a store directory.

I'd recommend the following ..
create the identities and mail accounts (this will have to be done manually) on your new Outlook express.
Go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > store folder button and note down the location you are using (lets call it C:\blah\)
Close Outlook express
Do a search on your old drive's windows partition for *.dbx; they should likely lead you to all the mailboxes.
Copy the files from that folder into your C:\blah\

You can do the same for the windows address book file. Replace any .wab file from the new drive with one that you find from the old one.

HTH

Can you be more specific as to which other program you want to export it to?

That's going to be difficult - TA is webmail. Why not just integrate OE into the TA task panel? You still get all the filtering.
