Problem with AIM

Hey all. I hope you can help me out.

For some reason I can't sign on to AIM. Everything else has been working fine....internet, mail, downloading, etc....just can't use AIM.

When I try, it says connecting...and then it says AIM service can't be reached. I know it's not an ISP problem, because everything else internet related is working fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times, and I've tried a couple different versions of AIM.

Right now, I'm using version 5.5.3501

Any ideas???

PS, my roommate who also uses AIM is having no problems using it, and we're in the same room, same internet connection, ISP, router, everything. All the same. But his works and mine doesn't.

How long has this been happening? I've had the same thing happen to me a few times before and usually it is like that for a day or two, and then will work fine again.

It just happened this afternoon. It has happened before, but usually a reboot fixes the problem. It's never lasted this long before, and I've rebooted several times with no luck.

It happens every once it a while. Just give it a while, then try to log back on.
